Along this keto way of eating journey there are so many things I have missed it wondered if I'd ever get to have again. So, ocasssionally on a wish and a prayer I get out my mixing bowl and start trying to recreate a family favorite. One of my favorites that I even shied away from when eating lean and clean was sausage balls. Who knew you could enjoy this family favorite and still lose weight? Ingredients 8oz of sausage 1 c. almond flour 1 egg 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 block of cream cheese (4oz) 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese 1 tsp white vinegar to activate baking powder Prep Time: 10 mins Bake Time: 15 mins Stir all together until well mixed and cream cheese is still chunky. This is my favorite part and what I consider my momma's secret ingrediant. You want the cream cheese to be obvious in every bite. Preheat oven to 400 degrees while you spoon out portions. This recipe will make around 60, 1" sausage balls. I portion them out on parchment paper. I can also freeze them and save them to cook fresh later. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 mins to make sure sausage cooks throughly. MACROS for 6 sausage balls (10 servings total) Calories: 200 Carb: 1.3g Fat: 18.3g Protein: 8.5g

You could. It absorbs a lot of liquid so you may need to use less or add a bit of liquid.

Is sausage pre-cooked or raw?

Raw. It cooks when you bake it.

I have done both. If you pre cook the sausage you can back off on your cooking time a bit...10-12 minutes
