Broken wicker baskets leave me so sad. I use them for so many things. I story stuffed animals in them, use them for toting toys back upstairs, and they serve a mighty purpose with laundry around our house. Sometimes they get tired and worn out like this one... So maybe my friends really don't think I'm crazy cause they all know I'm doing something crafty. Like when I say, "I'm tying strips of fabric to a basket." and they say, "HUH?" They really know I'm doing something that makes sense. See, I have this basket that I love because it's the perfect size but it was cheap and is now broken. I'd thought bout wrapping ribbon but that just didn't work. So, I started tying strips of fabric that were cut with a pinking blade to measure 2" x 12-14" and started tying. As I tied, my basket started gaining new life again. I tied, and tied and cut strips until I finally started getting the look I wanted. Which even my 8 year old son thought was . .." Awe Mom, that's SOooo cute!". I tied them all the way around and spaced them by the vertical rungs in the basket. Then I cut some additional fabric to go with them and "Whaaala" as my kids say.

I have never been good with my hands, which is why this is something that is absolutely beyond me. While it would be nice if I could repair baskets myself, I do not think that I can do that. I hope that I can develop a skill for it, but for now, I will just be reading your guides. I try to research so that I can repair my own baskets using my own hands in the coming future, that is what I want. Thank you for the repairing guide.
