...that whoever believes in Him... - John 3:16 Head: Belief is a hinge. In the context of our life, the next move we make is always done so with a hinge moment of belief. We might believe it's safe to jump from a high dive, or not. We might believe that a bite of food is too spicy, or not. We might believe that our children are capable of more than they even believe, or not. Decision making is always rooted in some level of belief or lack of. Jesus tells us 5 times in the course of 4 verses about belief. (see John 3:15-18). Quite a lot of emphasis placed on belief. There is a life and death urgency placed on belief and the choices we make concerning what we believe to be true. God gave us Christ. He is our only access, the only door, to Heaven. He is the door, but for the door to swing wide for all who enter their hinge must be one of belief. Disbelief is like a broken, rusty, useless hinge. For the door to open, we must only believe. Heart: As children of God, we much check our belief. We must not only believe in Christ but we must knock and tell Him so. God loves us so deeply, so infinitely, that he poured out His very self to make sure you had what you needed to step into your eternal life. Our eternal lives start the moment we replace our hinges of disbelief with ones of belief and accept the love of Christ. He has poured himself out for everyone who ever lived and ever will. It's still on us as to make the decision with belief. What happens then is remarkable. What happens then is we are given an eternal life. We can then close our eyes and imagine ourselves walking through to eternal perfection. Our existence is made permanent in Heaven. There is not tragedy in death then. Hands: As mothers who are daughters of the One True King, we must never take for granted the power of our voice. Our voice is His voice when we speak with truth and love regarding the Word. We are the voice in our children's ears that they came to love from the first moment they heard your heart beat. Our children will look to us one day for the answer to "Why Jesus?" If you know that eternal door was opened for you to access your Heavenly Father, you will know all the goodness that He desires for your children. It makes it easy to share with them your love for Jesus daily. It makes it easy to sing His praise. It makes it easy to raise your hands in worship. Your children are watching you and when they see you, if you believe, they see their Jesus too.
