Earlier this week this word, enough, just kept making its way into my vocabulary. We have enough bottles of water. I have enough laundry to do. The fridge has enough food. The kids have played enough. I’ve had enough of that smell. Did we celebrate enough? There’s not enough concrete. Is there enough fuel? Is there enough time! I could make this list go in for days. It is simply that “enough” has resonated on this piece of land over and over this past week... And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19 Sometimes the 4 year old has had enough and so had mom. Some days there isn’t enough nap time, or pants apparently. I took Nora to a birthday party Sunday and left the men in charge. It’s was disappointing to come home and find that the littlest guy was so extremely tired and needed a nap but yet thought he could out wit everyone and avoid taking one. His response to everything when he is tired is a mouth wide open yell and even one time this week a high pitched scream. But hang in there with me because he does have a good week. Nora attended a tea party back home with friends and it was precious. She did nap on the way there and back so she was fully rested. I have to share just how precious the little party was. I may not have been excited about my small fry not getting his nap but I was excited to see some moving and grooving on the foundation of our house. Earlier in the week the footers were dug and poured. Next week the block and mason are arriving. We’re about to see a steuctuin go vertical. I have to say my dad has worked mighty hard this week. More than anything I’m glad he’s able. It has been something to watch him in his element and to teach not only Cooper along the way but also James has a learning curve too. Wednesday footings were poured and the neighbor brought cupcakes for the kids. Evan thought they were for his birthday. We didn’t tell him any different. We celebrated as a family on Wednesday night and he went out with his Nana and Papaw on Saturday for shopping and dinner. Some days our world seems very, very small.
