Cut Sugar and Reduce Inflammation
It's true, cutting sugar can help reduce overall inflammation in the body that happens to be linked to various chronic illnesses and diseases....
Yes, reducing your sugar intake can help reduce inflammation: 
  • Sugar and inflammation
    Sugar and refined carbohydrates can cause inflammation by sending false signals to your body about its health. Processed sugars can also release substances that increase inflammation in your joints. 
  • Health benefits
    Cutting back on added sugars can also improve your energy levels and reduce your risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. 
  • World Health Organization recommendations
    The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that less than 10% of your daily energy intake come from sugar. 

Other ways to reduce inflammation include: Getting enough sleep, Quitting smoking, Maintaining a healthy weight, and Following an anti-inflammatory diet. 

An anti-inflammatory diet can include: 
  • Eating foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon, sardines, and tuna
  • Eating lots of vegetables and whole grains
  • Limiting dairy, but including small amounts of fermented dairy like kefir or yogurt
